Thank your Senators for Pressing DHS and DOS for Answers Regarding Actions Against International Students and Scholars

In response to the unprecedented wave of international student visa revocations and SEVIS record terminations, U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) led a group of Senate Democrats in urging the U.S. Departments of State and Homeland Security and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for answers.

In a letter sent on April 28, Durbin and 35 of his Senate colleagues express concern that these actions are inconsistent with existing laws, regulations, policies, and agency guidance. The letter requests detailed information including the total number of all visa revocations and SEVIS record terminations and presses for the release of relevant agency guidance so that international students, scholars and institutions may see the standards that are driving these actions.

Advocate voices were critical in encouraging these senators to join this effort. Now help us thank them for doing so. The role of Congress will be critical going forward.

Note that you will only be able to send a message if your senator(s) signed the letter.

Thank you!
