Tell Congress: International Students are Essential to America’s Safety, Economy, and Global Strength

The Trump administration’s recent actions targeting international students and scholars--currently estimated at more than 1,400--undermine U.S. economic growth, weaken our global competitiveness, and deprive us of the world’s top talent.

These executive actions--including abrupt restrictions on visa issuance, sudden revocation of hundreds of student visas, and cancellation of immigration status--do not make the United States any safer. Instead, they are an affront to an already thorough vetting and monitoring process and create a climate of uncertainty and fear that makes it harder for international students to thrive in the United States. It also threatens their many contributions to U.S. students, businesses, and the economy.

We cannot afford to close our doors to the next generation of global leaders, innovators, and allies. Join the U.S. for Success Coalition in urging Congress to convey to the Departments of State and Homeland Security that it should be a national priority to welcome international students and scholars to study and succeed here.

Take action now to ensure the United States remains open to talent from around the world. Share this campaign widely with your networks to amplify our collective voice.
